Activities at the Farm
Throughout the year, a regular program of cultural events takes place in the surroundings: historical festivals, theatre and popular performances, concerts, traditional festivals and antique markets. We are pleased to share with our guests information on current events to enrich their stay.
Cooking classes for adults and children
Each class of Tuscan cuisine begins with a brief description of the dishes to be prepared, from pesto, to fresh pasta, lasagna and potato gnocchi, to finish with a dessert. At the end of the class all participants will eat the dishes they have prepared together.
Winetasting
We can organize trips to selected organic wine producers to give you the possibility to see the art of wine production and experience different types of wine
Adventure
There are nature trails, accessible both on foot and by mountain bike, of different length and difficulty. Some trails start directly from the farm and we are available to share information and maps with our guests. For more information www.palaiatrekking.it
During some period of the year we organize a two days hiking tours along the beautiful vie francigena, from S. Miniato to S. Gimignano,. We organize transport from/to our farm, accomodation, dinner, breakfast on the way and guide. For inspiration www.viefrancigene.org/en/
For guests interested in cycling, we can organize bike rental at the village of Castelfalfi and book participation in their tours with both mountain bikes and electric bicycles. For more information http://www.bikingtuscanytour.com
For the more adventurous we recommend and can book a visit to the Canyon Park of Lucca. There you can try canyoning, rafting, zip line or climbing. For more information https://www.canyonpark.it
For the youngest guests and two minutes driving form the farm we suggest the Peccioli’s Adventure Park. The park is a one-of-a-kind artificial facility towering inside the old town centre, with the beautiful prospect of Valdera’s hills. http://peccioloavventura.peccioli.net
Farming activity
There is a lot of work on the farm and if you want you can help us. Fences might need mending, animals need feeding and fruit, herbs and vegetables might need picking. Please contact us if you want tojoin us in the garden.
